Vice President, Data Center Operational Readiness Greater Minneapolis, MN Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Data Center Operational Readiness to lead the transition of facilities from design and construction through commissioning, acceptance, and operational handover. The role will establish consistent standards for commissioning, quality control, site acceptance, documentation, operator training, and Day 1 readiness. Responsibilities include representing ownership interests in design reviews and testing, assessing designs for operability and reliability, and overseeing critical electrical, mechanical, controls, cooling, and life-safety systems. The Vice President will coordinate stakeholders, manage technical and schedule risks, hold project partners accountable, report readiness and deficiencies to executives, and apply lessons learned to future projects. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience delivering data centers, mission-critical facilities, or similarly complex projects, along with demonstrated ownership of commissioning, startup, turnover, or operational-readiness programs. Strong communication and leadership across development, design, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, customers, and executives are required. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering, construction, or facilities field and professional certifications are preferred. Experience with both air-cooled and liquid-cooled infrastructure is also preferred, along with strong organization, prioritization, adaptability, sound judgment, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
