Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Greater New York City, NY Area

The Company is seeking an inaugural Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide strategic leadership across technology operations, cybersecurity, data management, systems, educational technology, and innovation. The CTO will develop a long-term technology strategy aligned with the organization’s mission, advise senior leadership, and integrate technology into academic and operational planning. Responsibilities include overseeing infrastructure, enterprise systems, databases, audiovisual technology, automation, and user support; strengthening security, privacy, and data governance; and guiding technology investments and complex initiatives. The CTO will also lead and develop a six-person team, support teaching and learning through emerging technologies, and plan technology needs for a major expansion. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree or relevant advanced coursework is preferred. Significant experience leading technology functions and supervising technology professionals is required, along with experience developing and implementing long-term technology strategy. Applicants should bring broad expertise in technology operations, including infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, data management, project management, budgeting, and end-user services, as well as experience evaluating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, approachable leader with sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
