Head of Finance, Tax & Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its finance function and support sound financial governance and commercial growth. Responsibilities include overseeing statutory accounting and reporting, monthly and annual close cycles, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning. The role also covers corporate tax compliance, transfer pricing, internal controls, audit coordination, treasury, cash management, and foreign exchange risk. The successful candidate will advise executives and operational teams on financial performance, investment decisions, and opportunities to improve revenue and costs, while developing the local finance team. Candidates should have at least 10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, corporate taxation, and financial management, including five or more years in a leadership or supervisory role. They must have direct responsibility for monthly and year-end closing and experience coordinating with external auditors and tax advisers. Fluent Japanese and advanced professional English are required for regulatory, executive, and cross-border communication. A bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is preferred; professional accounting or tax credentials and experience in a multinational environment are also advantageous.
