Vice President of Winery Operations Remote (anywhere in California)

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Winery Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across production, bottling, supply chain, planning, maintenance, facilities, and related site functions. The role is accountable for overall site performance, including safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, employee engagement, and financial results. Responsibilities include setting shared priorities across direct and matrixed teams, ensuring regulatory and quality compliance, managing operating and capital plans, and improving efficiency and operational performance. The leader will oversee production planning, inventory, equipment reliability, and capital initiatives, while developing a high-performing leadership team and representing the facility with key external stakeholders. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in operations, business, engineering, food science, supply chain, or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred. At least 15 years of progressive operations or manufacturing leadership experience and seven years in senior operational leadership are required, including responsibility for multiple functions, budgets, capital planning, and matrixed teams. Experience in wine, beverage, food, or similarly complex manufacturing is preferred, with winery and bottling operations experience strongly valued. Candidates should bring strong financial and operational expertise, a record of using metrics to drive improvement, and the ability to lead teams, influence across functions, manage change, and build effective partnerships.
