Head of Fleet

The Company is seeking a Head of Fleet with a Director-level ownership of a revenue-linked EV fleet function. The successful candidate will be responsible for a large-scale fleet, currently comprising over 1,500 three-wheeler EVs, and will be tasked with improving uptime, repair turnaround, and maintenance costs per vehicle. This role requires the identification and resolution of recurring failures, the development of SOPs for maintenance and accidents, and the assessment of vehicle conditions to extend their useful life. The Head of Fleet will also be expected to build partnerships with OEMs and workshops, and to work closely with the business finance team to ensure fleet readiness aligns with revenue plans. Applicants for the Head of Fleet position at the company must be Tamil-speaking and willing to engage directly with technicians and workshops in the field. Hands-on fleet leadership, technical judgment, and a practical understanding of EVs and batteries are essential. The role demands a candidate with P&L exposure, capable of discussing financial aspects with the business finance team, and with a proven track record of building operating systems and leading a distributed team. Experience in EV/commercial fleets, last-mile operations, or OEM service with a focus on fleet and commercial ownership is required. The ideal candidate will have a history of measurable operational improvements, durable technical fixes, and a clear ability to balance cost, support growth, and protect sales through fleet decisions.
