Trustee (Board-level role)

The Company is seeking a Trustee to contribute to board-level governance and strategic direction, ensuring the organization advances its humanitarian mission and meets its legal and regulatory responsibilities. The Trustee will help set strategic priorities, hold executive leadership accountable, oversee risk and organizational performance, and support the effective use of resources. They will provide constructive challenge, contribute relevant expertise to board discussions, and serve as an ambassador who builds connections and opportunities in support of the mission. The role also involves upholding the organization’s values, maintaining high standards of conduct, and participating in board development and effectiveness reviews. Candidates should have senior leadership experience in a large, complex organization, along with sound judgment, strategic insight, and the confidence to engage with challenging issues. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization’s charitable purpose, collaborative board work, equity and inclusion, and the principles of neutrality and impartiality. The ability to influence at a senior level and act as a credible ambassador is essential, as is an understanding of trustee responsibilities or the ability to develop that understanding quickly. Experience in technology and digital transformation, philanthropy and partnerships, or public affairs and influencing would be valuable.
