Fractional Head of People & Culture

The Company is seeking a Head of People & Culture to lead its people function, from strategic direction through day-to-day delivery, including oversight of health and safety. The role will strengthen employment relations practices, systems, and processes, then build capability in leadership, organisational development, and culture. The successful candidate will work with senior leaders and frontline teams, support managers with people and performance matters, and help foster a proactive safety culture across operational sites. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on translating people priorities into practical improvements and supporting the organization’s growth. Candidates should be experienced People & Culture generalists with strong employment relations expertise and a sound understanding of New Zealand employment law and practice. They should bring experience across the employee lifecycle, including people administration, systems, compliance, and health and safety oversight. A strategic, delivery-focused approach, coaching ability, strong relationship skills, and sound judgment in sensitive situations are essential. Applicants should also understand Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and be committed to applying them in leadership and people practices.
