Senior Vice President of Operations

The Company is seeking a senior operations executive to strengthen and scale a multi-entity commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contracting platform. The role will assess operations across businesses, identify root causes and practical improvements, and work closely with local operators to implement them. Key responsibilities include building workforce planning systems that align bookings and backlog with technician capacity, standardizing estimating and project management, reviewing work in progress and job margins, and coaching project managers and estimators. The executive will also establish performance metrics and operating rhythms, develop future leaders, improve margins, and create a repeatable process for integrating acquired businesses. Candidates must have vice president-level or higher experience in operations at a commercial MEP contractor or construction firm, with strong working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing. A background progressing through the trades, field supervision, project management, or operations leadership is required, along with experience leading multiple business units or sites. Applicants should demonstrate hands-on expertise in estimating, work-in-progress management, forecasting, and margins, as well as a record of improving or growing a business and earning operators’ trust. Experience with private-equity-backed platforms, acquisitions, or commercial service work is an advantage.
