Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.
The Vice President, Health100 Interoperability is a critical leadership role responsible for setting and delivering an interoperability strategy that enables access, integration, and use of electronic health data across the broader healthcare technology ecosystem, while also supporting enterprise interoperability strategy and execution across CVS Pharmacy, CVS Caremark, and CVS Health Care Delivery businesses.
This role will focus on operational execution to deliver measurable outcomes by ensuring relevant data is available at the time of interaction, improving partner and consumer experience, enabling scalable product adoption, and meeting applicable interoperability and technology regulatory requirements. In close partnership with Government Affairs, this leader will also support executive engagement with the Administration (including CMS, HHS, CMMI, and related agencies) on topics tied to the technology ecosystem, data interoperability, technology regulation, and adjacent policy considerations.
Major Responsibilities
Strategy and Value Delivery
Develop and execute a comprehensive interoperability strategy aligned to Health100 platform goals and the roadmap for HST commercialized products and services, with clear prioritization of use cases that drive adoption, experience, and measurable outcomes.
Establish and oversee the management process by which the interoperability strategy delivers value across acquiring data, transforming data to enable workflow, presenting data to inform decisions, and returning actionable data tied to outcomes.
Identify interoperability use cases, quantify benefits, and ensure delivery against performance, experience, and compliance expectations across the portfolio.
Work in partnership with the Aetna interoperability lead to define enterprise-wide interoperability priorities, guardrails, and execution approaches that align Health100 and HST strategies with the broader CVS Health interoperability framework.
Ecosystem, Platform, and Technical Execution
Build and maintain strong alignment across internal technology and data partners to enable seamless interoperability capabilities that support partner integrations and product scalability.
Lead evaluation, selection, and ongoing management of interoperability-related vendors, data aggregators, and state HIE partners to support solution design and product requirements.
Provide executive oversight of interoperability solution roadmaps and external partner integration strategies across the portfolio (including EHR connectivity and broader ecosystem integration patterns).
Ensure the interoperability approach reflects industry standards for data exchange and aligns to practical implementation constraints across partners and platforms.
Government Affairs and Administration Engagement
Partner with Government Affairs to help influence, interpret, and respond to interoperability and technology-related regulatory developments impacting the Health100 ecosystem and HST commercialized offerings.
Support executive-level liaison with the Administration (including CMS, HHS/HSS, CMMI, and related bodies) on healthcare technology ecosystem topics, data interoperability, and technology regulation, ensuring alignment between policy direction and product/platform strategy.
Coordinate cross-functional input from Privacy, Legal, Government Affairs, and Regulatory partners to align market dynamics, regulatory interpretation, and execution priorities with the interoperability strategy.
Stakeholder Leadership and Voice of Customer
Engage internal leaders and external partners to gather direct voice-of-customer feedback that informs strategy, solution design, and roadmap tradeoffs for both partner and consumer-facing needs.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with ecosystem stakeholders (providers, payers, PBMs, pharmacies, life sciences entities, and digital health point solutions) that connect to Health100 and HST offerings.
Represent the organization in industry collaboration initiatives that influence adoption of interoperability capabilities and improve partner implementation pathways.
Delivery Ownership, Governance, and Talent Leadership
Own end-to-end delivery of interoperability solutions in close collaboration with cross-functional partners (analytics, technology, clinical platforms, operations, and commercialization teams), driving execution discipline and outcomes.
Establish appropriate governance mechanisms for interoperability decisions, standards adoption, partner integration approaches, and vendor performance across the portfolio.
Provide leadership direction, develop talent, and lead matrixed teams to ensure successful delivery of the interoperability strategy.
Support CVS Health’s commitment to attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities served.
