Head of Engineering, Maritime & Port Operations

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead engineering operations across maritime and port facilities. The role oversees the reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness of equipment, buildings, utilities, and infrastructure, including complex cranes and container-handling machinery. Responsibilities include developing maintenance strategies, monitoring performance indicators, managing spare-parts inventory and departmental budgets, and supervising repairs and contractors. The successful candidate will also lead technical studies and continuous improvement initiatives, identify energy-saving measures, and promote a strong safety culture. Candidates should have extensive experience managing large-scale engineering operations in maritime or port environments, with expertise in asset management and maintenance planning for complex equipment fleets. Strong analytical skills are needed to use performance data to improve reliability and reduce downtime, alongside experience in inventory management, procurement, and operating and capital expenditure budgets. The role also requires experience overseeing building services, implementing energy-conservation measures, and managing multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and contractors. A record of leading improvement projects and a commitment to safety-focused, inclusive leadership are essential.
