Head of Fundraising

The Company is seeking a Head of Fundraising to shape and deliver fundraising strategy, securing sustainable support for its mission, heritage, and future projects. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, including cultivating major donors and patrons, developing compelling cases for support, and building relationships with trusts and foundations. The successful candidate will help colleagues turn project ideas into fundable opportunities and lead campaigns for restoration and conservation. They will also work collaboratively with senior leaders, committees, staff, volunteers, and supporters to grow fundraising impact. Candidates should have a strong track record of developing and delivering fundraising strategies that achieve sustainable income growth, along with experience securing support through proposals, campaigns, and cases for support. Strong relationship-building, communication, financial awareness, budgeting, performance reporting, and organizational skills are required. Experience with major gifts, trusts and foundations, legacies, or patron and donor programs is desirable, as is familiarity with CRM systems and office software. The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, diplomatic, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
