Head of Finance

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its accountancy and administration services, ensuring teams and systems deliver high-quality information and effective financial management. Responsibilities include directing the accountancy and administration teams, supporting the organization’s wider improvement and modernization goals, and ensuring financial systems and practices meet agreed standards and procedures. The role also facilitates effective financial management and serves as Deputy Section 151 Officer. Candidates should hold a CCAB qualification and a management qualification, be a member of a relevant accountancy body, and demonstrate ongoing professional development. At least three years of financial management experience is required, preferably in local government, along with experience leading teams, planning workloads, and monitoring performance. Applicants should understand the relevant legislative and regulatory framework and have experience producing annual accounts to a strict timetable and developing organization-wide budget-setting processes.
