Head of Programs, Defence & Commercial

The Company is seeking a Head of Programs to lead a portfolio of complex programs across defence and advanced engineering. The role owns portfolio performance, including delivery, revenue, margins, budgets, resourcing, and commercial outcomes. Responsibilities include leading Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, overseeing program mobilisation through close-out, and managing priorities across concurrent programs. The successful candidate will build senior relationships with customers and strategic partners, negotiate contracts and tenders, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to broader business strategy. Candidates should have senior program, portfolio, or delivery leadership experience in defence, aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, or a similarly complex environment. They must have managed multiple concurrent programs, held commercial or P&L accountability, led Project Managers, and demonstrated strong contract and customer management skills. The role requires confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and the ability to understand technical delivery without personally owning the engineering solution. Australian citizenship and an NV1 clearance, or the ability to obtain one, are required.
