Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company is seeking a founding Chief Executive Officer to establish and lead a major national public-service organization through significant transformation. The CEO will set strategic direction, oversee operational performance and public investment, and lead long-term industry reform. Responsibilities include building a high-performing executive team, fostering a customer-focused and collaborative culture, and uniting a complex sector around a shared vision. The role also requires constructive partnership with government, regulators, and other stakeholders to improve service, reliability, integration, and public value. Candidates should have a demonstrable record of leading large-scale organizations and delivering transformational change in complex operating environments. They will bring strong strategic judgment, commercial acumen, customer focus, and the ability to build effective teams and sustain organizational performance. Experience working with government, regulators, and diverse stakeholders is important, as are credibility, resilience, and leadership presence in a highly visible role. Relevant experience may come from the rail sector or other complex operational environments where safety, reliability, and public trust are paramount.
