Associate Vice President, Workers' Compensation Claims

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Workers’ Compensation Claims to lead a claims organization, including claims managers and claims staff. The role will set technical and operational strategy, lead change initiatives, and serve as the senior approval point for major-loss claims. Responsibilities also include overseeing third-party administrator strategy and managing key vendor relationships. The successful candidate will guide the team’s performance while ensuring claims operations align with applicable policies and regulations. Candidates should have at least seven years of experience leading workers’ compensation claims teams, including managing other leaders. Strong strategic and change-management capabilities are required, along with in-depth technical knowledge of workers’ compensation claims, large losses, and litigated cases. Applicants should also bring experience overseeing third-party administrators and vendor relationships, a strong understanding of policy wording and regulations, and adjuster licenses in multiple states.
