Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Finance Director

The Company is seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Finance Director to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the organization's growth phase, providing both strategic financial leadership and hands-on financial oversight. This includes working closely with the senior leadership team to shape and deliver the company's financial strategy, acting as a trusted financial partner, and leading the budgeting and forecasting processes. The role also involves ensuring robust financial processes, internal controls, and governance structures are in place, as well as providing oversight and mentorship to existing finance staff or external finance providers. The ideal candidate will be an experienced financial leader with a strong commercial mindset, capable of operating effectively in a growing, innovation-driven environment. They should have a proven track record as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader, with experience in financial planning, modeling, and strategic finance. Familiarity with funding environments such as venture capital, grant funding, or private investment is desirable. The role requires a professionally qualified accountant and a collaborative, pragmatic approach to work. The Fractional CFO/FD will be expected to work closely in partnership with the MD and Chairman, and the position is likely to be 2 days per week.
