Senior Legal Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support a broad range of legal work across a growing, multi-jurisdictional financial services business. The role will contribute to a major corporate restructuring and group-wide technology transformation, alongside regulatory matters, reinsurance and custodian agreements, and ongoing disputes. The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple projects, manage relationships with senior internal stakeholders, and support the wider legal team as a senior member. They will need the judgment to handle projects independently and provide cover for senior legal leadership when required. Candidates should have around 10 years of post-qualification experience, though relevant expertise and judgment are more important than a specific threshold. Demonstrable financial services experience and a strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment are essential; prior in-house experience is strongly preferred. Experience in corporate, commercial, regulatory, or multi-jurisdictional work is valuable, while exposure to litigation and disputes is an advantage. Both private practice and in-house backgrounds will be considered.
