Senior Vice President of Operations, Commercial MEP Contractor

The Company is seeking a senior operations executive to strengthen and scale a commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contracting platform. The role will work closely with operators across multiple businesses to identify operational challenges, recommend practical improvements, and establish consistent processes. Key responsibilities include building workforce planning systems that align bookings and backlog with technician capacity, improving estimating and project management standards, and reviewing work in progress, forecasts, and job margins. The executive will also develop performance metrics and operating routines, support margin improvement, develop future leaders, and create a repeatable approach for integrating acquired businesses. Candidates must have VP-level or higher experience in an MEP contractor or construction firm, with a career grounded in commercial contracting and practical knowledge of HVAC and plumbing. Experience leading operations across multiple business units or sites is required, along with hands-on expertise in estimating, forecasting, work-in-progress reviews, and margin management. Applicants should demonstrate success growing or turning around a business, diagnosing operational issues, and earning the trust of local teams. Experience with private-equity-backed platforms, acquisitions, or commercial service work is an advantage.
