General Manager - Cybersecurity

Company is a new form of higher education that enables social mobility. It identifies high-potential individuals that have been "left behind" by the current labor market and trains them to be cybersecurity analysts in 6 months - increasing their earnings by 100%+ and positively affecting their local and state communities. Upon placement, students become “members”, enabling a lifelong labor market relationship. Cybersecurity is the first industry being served - but will eventually expand to include multiple middle-skill verticals. Looking to hire a General Manager of Cybersecurity to help us build into the premier cybersecurity brand in education. Currently, we are headquartered in NYC - but our training is based in New Hampshire and Washington. We are expanding to Virginia in 2020 and will increase the number of students we train by tenfold. What you will be doing: Overseeing cybersecurity division and all instruction Understanding current industry trends to define curriculum and relevant tools Maintaining and building relationships with cybersecurity employers and industry experts Defining expansion into future security roles (we are currently training cybersecurity analysts) Participating in our growth strategy, helping to define locations to expand to Representing company at industry conferences/think tanks/policy discussions Creating content and connections to establish us as a well-known brand in the security space Ideal candidates will: Be a known entity in the space Bring an established list of high-quality relationships with security/infosec employers Have managed a business unit, including a P&L Feel a personal connection to the mission Have a passion towards helping to build the future of security talent We have a unique culture that doesn't focus on pedigree or brand signaling, but rather rewards hard work and an ability to get things done.
