Deputy General Counsel

Greater Baltimore, MD Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in the management of the company's legal affairs, providing strategic and practical legal guidance to support operational, growth, and risk-management objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership and various departments to address complex legal and business issues within a growing franchise system. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary legal contact for marketing, real estate, finance, education, and learning and development departments, and overseeing the day-to-day management and development of the legal team. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school, be licensed to practice law, and have approximately 6-8 years of progressive legal experience, with a strong background in corporate legal matters and a proven track record of leadership and collaboration. Applicants for the Deputy General Counsel position at the company should be experienced professionals with a passion for making an impact. The role requires a candidate with exceptional communication skills, the ability to build relationships at all levels, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
