Board Trustee, OFSTED Lead

Greater Birmingham, United Kingdom Area (Hybrid - Headquarter location)
The Company is seeking a dedicated individual to join its Board as a Trustee and OFSTED Lead. This voluntary role is pivotal in providing Board-level oversight and assurance of the company's OFSTED-regulated services, with a focus on digital divide adult education funded training. The successful candidate will be the primary contact for OFSTED and quality assurance matters, working closely with fellow Trustees, the Chief Executive, and the Head of Services to ensure regulatory compliance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include maintaining awareness of OFSTED frameworks, providing assurance to the Board, monitoring service improvement plans, and promoting a culture of learning and quality. The role is strategic, requiring the ability to contribute to decision-making, and demands a commitment to the values of the company. Applicants for the Trustee and OFSTED Lead position at the company should have a strong background in OFSTED-regulated services, with experience or knowledge in governance, quality assurance, compliance, and safeguarding. Essential criteria include a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a Board. The role requires effective communication, strategic thinking, and a high level of integrity. While previous Trustee experience is desirable, it is not essential, and training and support will be provided.
