The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Local Government, a senior leadership role that is pivotal in shaping the sector strategy, audit delivery model, and sector relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for influencing how audit services are delivered across the state, leading conversations about future capability, sector risks, and emerging challenges. This role also involves building and maintaining strategic partnerships, particularly with the Audit Service Provider network, to ensure high-quality audit outcomes. The ideal candidate is an accomplished external-audit leader with a strong professional background, capable of leading through influence, managing competing priorities, and building trusted relationships across a broad stakeholder group. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a background in external audit, with experience in leading people, strategy, and organizational outcomes. While not mandatory, experience in working with, auditing, or advising Local Government entities is highly regarded. The role requires a leader with credibility, commercial awareness, and a practical leadership style, who can contribute to the company's mission of supporting public confidence and accountability. The Executive Director will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to provide strategic advice on sector developments, emerging risks, and the future direction of audit delivery, and will play a key role in shaping the future workforce capability and delivery models to support sustainable audit services across the state.
