Associate Vice President, Underwriting Director, Large Casualty
About the Role
Greater Dallas, TX Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking an experienced Large Casualty Underwriter to join their National Account, Large Casualty Team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving profitable production growth and ensuring strong renewal retention within the large casualty business. This role involves the evaluation, pricing, and negotiation of highly complex large-scale commercial insurance risks, as well as the cultivation of broker and client relationships. The ideal candidate will be adept at underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal business, and will be responsible for market-facing activities and production within the large casualty, national accounts division. Applicants for the Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriting Director position must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in underwriting or market-facing, or a combination of experience and education as outlined in the job description. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in large casualty underwriting, and experience in developing and maintaining broker relationships. The successful candidate will work within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments and must be proficient in Microsoft Office. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. The position demands a professional who is capable of working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business and is experienced in a team environment.
