Interim Head of Program Greater Dallas, TX Area

The Company is seeking a Head of Program to join their summer leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and hosting daily camp life and operations, including engaging with the camp community through high-energy, positive interactions. This role involves championing a positive, inclusive, and safe camp environment, leading and participating in camp program activities, and assisting with staff training, mentorship, and problem-solving. The Head of Program will also be expected to uphold the values of the organization, including serving as a positive role model for youth in all aspects of behavior and attitude. Applicants for the Head of Program position at the company should have a college degree or be within one year of completing a degree, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of two summers' experience in a camp counselor or similar role is required, along with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work with youth and young adults of varying needs, and a strong focus on safety. The ideal candidate will be organized, participant-focused, and safety-conscious, with the ability to address conflicts and concerns in an equitable and developmentally appropriate manner. The Head of Program must be willing to live in a camp setting, be active outdoors in various weather conditions, and adhere to the organization's cultural values.
