Head of Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, MSR & Automation Technology

The Company is seeking a Head of Maintenance for Instrumentation and Control (I&C) with a focus on electrical engineering, measurement, control, and automation technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational and strategic maintenance of I&C in the process industry, leading a team of approximately 40 employees. This role demands a forward-thinking leader with a strong sense of collaborative teamwork, who can ensure the high availability, reliability, and safety of all electrical, measurement, and control systems. Key tasks include the technical and disciplinary management of maintenance departments, planning and organizing maintenance and repair measures, and the analysis and resolution of malfunctions in complex systems. The Head of Maintenance will also be involved in the further development and implementation of modern maintenance and automation concepts, such as predictive maintenance and digitalization, and must ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations and standards. Applicants for the Head of Maintenance position at the company should have completed studies in electrical engineering, automation technology, instrumentation and control engineering, or a comparable qualification. A background in industrial electrical maintenance, particularly in the paper, process, or chemical industries, is preferred. The role requires several years of management experience, with a focus on respectful leadership, effective delegation, and an open feedback culture. The ideal candidate will have very good knowledge of PLC programming and diagnostics, process control systems, HMI and drive technology, and measurement and control technology in continuous production processes. A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented work style, along with a high sense of responsibility, cost awareness, and safety consciousness, is essential. Assertiveness, communication skills, and team orientation are also key attributes for this position.
