Senior Vice President, Head of OMICs Greater Hamburg, Germany Area

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Head of OMICs to provide strategic, scientific, and operational leadership across genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and multi-omics imaging. The role will guide the application of these capabilities to drug discovery and biomarker development, evaluate and implement new methodologies, and foster collaboration with bioinformatics, AI/ML, therapeutic, and translational biomarker teams. Responsibilities include managing the OMICs budget and financial performance, shaping external commercialization strategy, and representing the organization in client and scientific engagements. The successful candidate will also contribute to the broader scientific and business strategy as part of the leadership team. Candidates must hold a PhD in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline, and have more than 20 years of experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical R&D. Significant experience leading large, diverse scientific teams is required, ideally across multiple OMICs domains. Applicants should bring deep expertise in proteomics and transcriptomics, a strong record of applying OMICs to drug discovery, and knowledge of multi-omics integration and biomarker discovery. The role also requires financial and operational management skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a collaborative, reliable approach to delivering high-quality results.
