About the Role
Greater Hong Kong, Hong Kong Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Investment Banking and Capital Markets Compliance in the APAC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the IBCM business in APAC, including various countries such as Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Japan, and India, adheres to all relevant rules, regulations, and industry best practices. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor to the IBCM APAC businesses, providing independent compliance and regulatory advice, and driving strategic compliance initiatives. The VP will also be involved in regulatory assessments, managing compliance and reputational risks, and representing the compliance function in key internal and external meetings. Applicants should have a minimum of 8 years' of experience in the banking industry, with a strong background in both Debt and Equity Capital Markets across the Asia Pacific region. Deep knowledge of IBCM products and transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, and private placements, is essential. The role requires a candidate with excellent communication skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, and a proven track record of working autonomously while fostering collaboration. Professional compliance or legal qualifications are an advantage, and experience in a fast-growing team with a focus on ECM transactions is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess the ability to assess transaction structures from a regulatory and reputational standpoint.
