The Company is seeking a Non-Executive Director with a focus on digital, data, and technology to join its Board. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the organization's digital and data agenda, particularly in the context of the significant changes reshaping the retail energy market, including decarbonization, digitalization, and regulatory reform. This role demands a leader with a strong background in digital, data, or technology, and significant senior leadership experience, ideally in a CIO, CDO, CTO, Chief Data Officer, or equivalent senior position. The Non-Executive Director will be responsible for providing independent insight, strategic guidance, and constructive challenge, especially in the areas of digital and data transformation, data strategy and governance, cyber security, and the responsible use of consumer and market data. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading substantial digital and data-enabled business transformation, as well as a deep understanding of the strategic management of data, including data standards, open data access arrangements, data protection, AI, AI ethics, and cyber security frameworks. They will be expected to ensure that the adoption of new technologies is in line with the organization's mission and long-term objectives, and to champion digital inclusion, accessibility, and sustainable technology approaches. In addition to technical expertise, the role requires a professional with the judgment, independence, and credibility to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and contribute to the organization's overall strategy, performance, governance, and risk management.
