Deputy Executive Officer, Project Management, Traffic Engineering
About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Executive Officer for Project Management with a focus on Traffic Engineering. The successful candidate will be a senior leader responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of major capital construction projects, particularly those with a strong emphasis on traffic engineering and construction traffic management in an urban infrastructure setting. This role involves strategic leadership in planning, design coordination, and construction management, ensuring that projects meet schedule and budget objectives while adhering to regulatory standards. The Deputy Executive Officer will also be involved in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including multiple consultants, to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with operational standards. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years of senior management-level experience in the design and/or construction of major capital projects, including mass transit. A valid California Class C Driver License is required, with a preference for a California license as a Professional Engineer (PE) and construction or project management certification. The ideal candidate will have experience in traffic management procedures, permitting, and regulatory standards, as well as in developing and overseeing Construction Traffic Management Plans. Knowledge of rail transit engineering, governmental contract policies, and large-scale capital project management is essential, as is the ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and make sound decisions.
