Vice President, Lead Software Engineer Greater Mumbai, India Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer to develop and maintain software solutions supporting business needs. The role includes onboarding and enhancing a sanctions-screening platform, from solution design and development through testing and tuning. The engineer will translate complex business use cases into technical solutions, support new and existing initiatives, and contribute to architectural improvements and a migration to a modern screening platform. Responsibilities also include integrating payment systems, validating payment messages, and improving screening accuracy by reducing false positives. Candidates should have extensive hands-on experience with sanctions-screening software, including payment screening, platform customization, and continuity data handling. Strong skills in complex SQL, PL/SQL automation, database development, schema analysis, and filter-engine optimization are required. Experience with SWIFT/MT, MX, ISO 20022, and XML messages, as well as machine-learning-based screening tools and false-positive reduction, is important. Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional approach are also expected.
