Interim Head of Legal, Regulatory & Transactions, Fixed-Term Contract Greater Munich, Germany Area

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal, Regulatory & Transactions to lead regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, and post-merger integration. The role involves advising on digital platform and consumer product regulation, monitoring legal developments, assessing business impacts, and partnering with product and technology teams from concept through launch. The successful candidate will support transactions through due diligence and documentation, coordinate external legal counsel, and lead legal integration work across contracts, policies, governance, and compliance. They will also handle corporate governance matters and provide clear, practical guidance to business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Candidates must be fully qualified German lawyers with two above-average German state examinations and substantial post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or in-house role. Strong experience in digital business models, platform regulation, M&A, or post-merger integration is required, along with excellent written and spoken German and English. Applicants should demonstrate sound business judgment, the ability to explain complex legal issues pragmatically, and experience leading teams or cross-functional projects. Familiarity with competition law, financial services regulation, postgraduate legal qualifications, and AI-assisted legal tools would be advantageous.
