The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their mission-first team. The CFO will be the senior-most financial executive, responsible for the financial health, integrity, and strategic direction of the organization. This includes ownership of all financial operations, from accounting and financial reporting to budgeting, forecasting, and government contract financial oversight. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner, engaging with the Executive Director and the Board, and will be expected to have a strong background in nonprofit and government contract accounting. Essential functions of the role also include leading the finance team, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and managing the organization's diverse contract portfolio. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 10 years' financial management experience, and a proven track record in leading finance for a nonprofit organization with a significant operating budget. The role requires a candidate with advanced proficiency in nonprofit accounting systems, strong Excel modeling skills, and excellent communication abilities. A CPA and/or MBA is preferred, as well as direct experience in supportive housing, homeless services, or related human services fields. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, results-oriented, and have the ability to facilitate positive change within a complex organization.
