Vice President, Asset-Based Finance, Private Debt

Greater New York City, NY Area (Headquarter location)
The Company is seeking a Vice President or Director to join their global private markets team, with a focus on asset-based finance (ABF) co-investment opportunities in private debt. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the end-to-end process of ABF co-investment transactions, from sourcing and analysis to execution and post-investment support. This role requires a deep understanding of private markets and a proven track record in executing ABF single transactions. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with general partners in the ABF space, as well as training and developing the investment team. Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills are essential, with the ability to prepare high-quality investment memorandums and defend recommendations in front of the Investment Committee. Applicants for this position at the company should hold a BA/BS in business, finance, economics, or accounting, and a CFA designation is a plus. The role demands a candidate with a team-oriented mindset, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and a commitment to the highest standards of professional excellence. The focus areas for ABF strategies include consumer lending, aircraft leasing, litigation finance, significant risk transfers, and other specialized asset-backed opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in valuation and investment analysis, particularly in ABF structures, and be adept at building and interpreting ABF-specific financial models.
