Vice President, Deputy General Counsel

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Deputy General Counsel to join its legal department. This senior-level position is pivotal in managing a broad portfolio that includes North America litigation and disputes, employment law, and coordinating internal investigations. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, overseeing regulatory proceedings, and leading a team of experienced legal professionals. Key responsibilities for the role include litigation and dispute management, employment law and investigations, compliance and regulatory oversight, business operations support, legal operations, and team development. The role demands a strategic legal partner with a strong in-house sensibility, capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy in a lean organizational structure. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, be admitted to the New York State Bar, and have a minimum of 15 years of legal experience, with a focus on litigation, investigations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a blend of big law and in-house experience, with a strong background in employment law and a proven track record in managing corporate ethics and compliance programs. The role requires excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across various business functions. A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, are essential.
