The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for its Internal Audit division. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of audits that align with the company's standards and objectives. This includes providing accurate information and recommendations, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. The role involves a range of accountabilities, from audit development and delivery support to the identification of operational risks and the assessment of internal control effectiveness. The AVP will also be expected to communicate key findings and recommendations to various stakeholders and to stay abreast of regulatory news and industry trends to provide timely insights. Applicants for the AVP position should have a background in audit, risk, controls, or assurance, with a strong understanding of risk-based auditing and control evaluation. The role requires excellent stakeholder management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to influence and provide constructive challenge. Experience in assessing risks across business processes, technology, digital environments, and data is essential, and the ability to use data and analytics to support these activities is a key requirement. While not mandatory, experience in financial services or banking, knowledge of digital customer journeys, and familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques are considered desirable. The ideal candidate will be adept at leading collaborative assignments, influencing stakeholders, and will be expected to demonstrate the company's values and mindset.
