Associate Vice President, Senior Engineer, Java Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is in search of a Senior Engineer with a focus on Java and Spring Boot to join their Private Markets Technology team. The successful candidate will be part of a global team, responsible for designing and building a strategic platform that integrates with internal and external systems to support the growth of various private market funds. This role offers the opportunity to work on a platform from the ground up and requires a strong engineering background with a passion for technology. Key responsibilities include forging relationships with diverse teams, ensuring an engineering-focused organization, and working on the development of an application platform for alternative funds. The role also involves coordinating the application life cycle, designing scalable components, and challenging the status quo to ensure industry best practices are followed. Applicants should have 12-14 years' of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, or similar, and a solid understanding of software development lifecycles, microservice architectures, and REST APIs. Experience with relational databases, public cloud environments, and application migration to the cloud is essential. A background in a business-aligned IT department within a financial institution is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, proactive, and an excellent team player with strong communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering is required, and experience with AI/ML, business intelligence tools, and enterprise technology is a plus.
