Associate Vice President, Senior Java Engineer Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is in search of a Senior Engineer with a focus on Java and Spring Boot to join their Private Markets Technology team. The successful candidate will be part of a global team, responsible for designing and building a strategic platform that integrates with various internal and external systems. This role is ideal for a passionate technologist who is dedicated to maintaining an engineering-focused organization and is excited about the opportunity to work on a platform from the ground up. Key responsibilities include forging strong relationships with diverse teams, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of engineering practices, and working on the development of an application platform to support a range of private market funds and businesses worldwide. Applicants should have a minimum of 12-14 years' of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, or similar technologies, and a solid background in the software development lifecycle, particularly Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Experience with relational databases, microservice architectures, REST APIs, and public cloud environments is essential. The role also requires a strong understanding of application migration, particularly from on-premises to public cloud, and experience in a business-aligned IT department within a financial institution. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, proactive, and an excellent team player with the ability to work under pressure and a commitment to professionalism. Familiarity with the finance and asset management industry, particularly alternative investments, is a plus.
