The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development work in the Product Processor Technology area, which includes working closely with the business and SMEs to prioritize requests, managing the development work slate, providing effort estimates, and ensuring the timely delivery of committed items. This role requires a deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and the ability to project manage all aspects of software development. The VP will also be involved in converting business and functional requirements into technical design documents, leading the development team, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Applicants must have a minimum of 13 years of software development experience, with at least 10 years in Sybase/MS-SQL/PLSQL programming, 5 years in Java, and a strong background in the financial domain, particularly with OTC derivatives products. Proficiency in Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and experience with SQL tuning, stored procedures, and data migration is essential. The role demands excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work proactively and independently, and a proven track record of successful project delivery. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline is required, along with strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience with AI tools, knowledge of US GAAP accounting, and have worked in an onsite-offshore model.
