Executive Director of Quality & Learning Greater Richmond, VA Area

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Quality and Learning to provide strategic and executive leadership for the Office of Early Childhood Quality and Learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the statewide development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a uniform measurement and improvement system for early childhood education. This role involves setting a clear vision for the system, ensuring alignment with state learning standards, and overseeing its design, implementation, and refinement. The Executive Director will also be expected to provide expert recommendations on quality measurement policy, collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance data collection practices, and manage processes related to early childhood quality and learning in the state budget. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a strong background in early childhood quality measurement and improvement systems, as well as early childhood development. Demonstrated expertise in relevant assessment and observation measures is essential. The role requires the ability to lead and develop a team of subject matter experts, design and communicate policy for statewide implementation, and effectively present technical information to diverse audiences. A degree from an accredited college or university is a minimum qualification, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in integrating multiple program areas into a cohesive strategy and ensuring instructional quality and child learning are reinforced.
