General Counsel, iGaming

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to lead its small legal team. The successful candidate will be the most senior in-house lawyer, responsible for a wide range of legal matters including commercial and employment agreements, corporate governance, data protection, and regulatory issues across various jurisdictions. This role is pivotal as the company is in a phase of growth and scaling, and the General Counsel will be expected to take ownership of the legal function, provide clear and practical legal advice to management, and support the business in all legal aspects of its operations. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should be business lawyers with a law degree from Sweden or Finland, and have a strong background in iGaming, particularly with practical experience in European jurisdictions. The role requires a native Swedish or Finnish speaker with a proven track record in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, have a hands-on approach, and be able to work closely with the management team. Experience in managing data protection, GDPR matters, and intellectual property across brands and commercial agreements is also essential. The General Counsel will work closely with the Head of Compliance on AML, RG, and other relevant queries, and must have work and personal ethics beyond reproach, with a focus on accuracy and the ability to deliver on time.
