The Company is seeking a VP of Operations to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and overseeing the overall operations and site management of the Distribution Centers. This includes negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements, ensuring the implementation of procedures that promote safety, efficiency, and profitability, and leading site management for standalone locations. The role also involves strategic planning, integrating various operational activities, and maintaining profitable operations by controlling inventory, losses, and safety. The VP of Operations will be a key figure in the company, with a focus on long-term operations objectives that align with business goals and a commitment to networking and sharing best practices within the industry. Candidates for the VP of Operations position at the company should have a 4-year degree (preferred) or a High School Diploma (or GED) with equivalent experience, and a minimum of 10 years' operations experience, with at least 5 years in a management role. The role requires a strong understanding of D.O.T. regulations, labor relations, customer service, budgeting, and cost control, as well as knowledge of OSHA, HAACP, and other relevant regulations. The VP of Operations will be expected to have excellent leadership skills, the ability to enforce company policies, and a proactive approach to personnel management, including the delegation of responsibilities and the identification of training opportunities.
