The Company is seeking a Vice President and Assistant Corporate Controller to join their team. This senior leadership role is pivotal in overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial close, internal controls, and compliance with accounting policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a variety of activities, including but not limited to, supporting the close process, providing technical accounting leadership, maintaining and developing accounting policies, and leading external audit activities. The role also involves partnering with business unit finance leaders to improve accounting quality, supporting acquisition accounting, and leading or participating in accounting system and process improvement initiatives. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA designation strongly preferred. A minimum of 8-10 years' progressive accounting experience is required, with a background in corporate accounting, financial reporting, audit, and management of accounting teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, experience in acquisition accounting, and a proven track record of leading month-end close and financial reporting processes. Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP and financial reporting systems are also necessary, with experience in specific ERP systems being a plus.
