Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team. The CFO will be a key partner to the CEO and the Board, responsible for translating financial performance into actionable insights and leading the financial roadmap, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in healthcare finance, particularly in revenue cycle management, reimbursement, collections, and bad debt. The CFO will also be accountable for the organization's financial statements, GAAP, internal controls, and audit readiness, and will lead a small accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 7 years' of progressive financial leadership experience, and a proven track record in a similar role. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should be calm, thorough, and patient leaders who are adept at building trust through open and consistent communication. The role is remote-friendly, with a preference for candidates in the Pacific Northwest, West Coast, or Mountain time zones, and will involve some travel to the company's headquarters in Anchorage. The CFO will be expected to modernize financial systems, automate workflows, and strengthen controls across departments. A CPA or CMA designation is preferred, as is experience in a healthcare setting such as EMS, hospital finance, or community health. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and communicative leader, capable of explaining financial matters clearly to all levels of the organization.
