Head of Group Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Group Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with HGB, with a prospective shift to IFRS. This role involves the reconciliation and review of individual financial statements from subsidiaries, carrying out consolidation entries, and ensuring the quality of reporting packages. The Head of Group Accounting will also be involved in operational work with consolidation and reporting tools, as well as the creation and maintenance of various financial reports. Coordination with international finance teams, and participation in the optimization of consolidation processes, and the implementation of new accounting standards are also key aspects of the position. Applicants for the Head of Group Accounting position at the company should have a completed degree in business or a comparable qualification in accounting, with professional experience in group accounting according to HGB. A sound knowledge of accounting and consolidation is essential, and IFRS knowledge is desirable. The role requires good user knowledge of financial reporting tools, particularly LucaNet, and a confident handling of Excel. The ideal candidate will be structured, detail-oriented, and reliable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. An interest in group structures, complex financial issues, and very good language skills in German and English are also necessary, with additional foreign language skills being an advantage.
