Head of Group Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Group Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with HGB, with a prospective shift to IFRS. This role involves the reconciliation and audit of individual financial statements from subsidiaries, as well as the quality assurance of reporting packages. The Head of Group Accounting will also be involved in carrying out consolidation entries, processing specific areas in the consolidated financial statements, and will be the operational lead for consolidation and reporting using LucaNet. Coordination with international finance teams, and various internal and external stakeholders, is a key aspect of the position, along with participation in the optimization of consolidation processes and support in the implementation of new accounting standards. Applicants for the Head of Group Accounting position at the company should have a completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification in accounting, with a strong background in group accounting in accordance with HGB. Sound knowledge of accounting and consolidation is essential, and IFRS knowledge is desirable. The role requires good user knowledge of LucaNet, as well as proficiency in Excel and ideally experience with ERP systems. The ideal candidate will be structured, detail-oriented, reliable, and possess excellent German and English language skills. A proactive, team player with a hands-on approach, and an interest in group structures and complex financial issues, will be well-suited to this challenging and dynamic role. Additional foreign language skills, such as Spanish or Polish, are considered an advantage.
