Executive Director, Operational Risk Greater Hong Kong Area

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Operational Risk, specifically within the Asia region. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the Asia Operational Risk Business Coverage team, which plays a pivotal role in the firm's risk management framework. This team is responsible for collaborating with business and infrastructure units to identify, analyze, and challenge operational risks associated with their processes and controls. The role involves enhancing client relationships, developing a deep understanding of business and operational risks, and assisting in the management of risk levels. The Executive Director will also be expected to carry out targeted reviews of operational risk events, challenge various risk-related outputs, and contribute to the enhancement of the operational risk program. Applicants for this senior position should possess strong sales and trading business knowledge, with a background in a wholesale financial services environment. Experience in risk management or other risk/control-based roles is preferred. The role requires the ability to anticipate and identify risks, strong organizational and multitasking skills, and excellent communication abilities. A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, finance, economics, or a related field is ideal. The candidate should be adept at working in a team environment, building and maintaining a network of contacts, and have experience in dealing with regulatory issues, particularly in the context of banking regulation and risk management.
