Senior Legal Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal support in commercial, content, and IP matters. The successful candidate will be a key advisor, responsible for the full spectrum of legal work, including the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex agreements. This role is pivotal in mitigating legal risks and facilitating business growth, and the ideal candidate will have a blend of strong technical legal skills and a business-oriented approach. Key responsibilities include overseeing a wide range of commercial contracts, serving as the primary legal counsel for stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The Senior Legal Counsel will also be expected to proactively manage relationships with external legal partners and stay abreast of evolving legal developments in the industry. Applicants for the Senior Legal Counsel position should be qualified lawyers with 4-6 years' of post-qualification experience, with a strong background in copyright law, IP licensing, marketing, product development, and commercial contracts within the media and entertainment sector. The role requires exceptional drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex legal advice effectively to non-legal business leaders. An agile, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial realities in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in English is a must, with Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills being highly preferred. The candidate should also have a proactive approach to providing legal advice and be adept at managing legal risks to support the achievement of business objectives.
