Vice President, Global Government Affairs
About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Global Government Affairs with a strong background in building and managing relationships with government and quasi-governmental organizations on a global scale. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the advancement of the firm's legislative, regulatory, and political agenda, as well as anticipating and addressing political, social, and economic issues that may impact the firm and its investments. This role requires the creation and execution of government relations strategies to enhance the company's reputation and strategic positioning globally. The Vice President will also work closely with corporate private equity portfolio companies to shape their regulatory and government affairs strategies and will be expected to maintain a bipartisan contact network and strategic communications program with key government officials. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree such as a Juris Doctorate or M.B.A. being highly desirable. A minimum of 10 years' relevant experience is required, with a background in government relations within a major multinational company, Congress, or the Administration. International experience is also a plus. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the policy-making processes in the U.S. and a global perspective on the implications of federal policies. Strong communication, leadership, and coalition-building skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize and a proven track record of problem-solving and decision-making.
