Head of Design Remote (anywhere in France)

The Company is seeking a Head of Design to take on a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of its software for short-term rentals. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and owning the design vision and standard, with a focus on creating a product that is not just functional but truly delightful to use. This includes leading the design of the entire platform, maintaining a high-quality design bar, and ensuring that every interaction is intuitive and every feature is a joy. The Head of Design will also be tasked with developing and leading a small, agile design team, and will be expected to be hands-on, leading the most critical design work and using data-informed decision-making to prove the impact of their designs. Applicants for the Head of Design position at the company should be design leaders with a proven track record of setting and raising the quality bar in a product-led SaaS environment. The role requires a candidate who is still actively involved in the design process, with a strong focus on research, and has a background in shaping product direction. The ideal candidate will have high agency, be comfortable with modern design tools, and have experience in a remote, low-bureaucracy environment. While not mandatory, experience in short-term rental, travel, hospitality, or proptech domains is a plus. The company values a diverse and global team, and the role is open to candidates from various backgrounds and locations, with a preference for those in European or North American time zones.
