Executive Director for Housing & Residence Life

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Housing and Residence Life to provide strategic leadership for a large residential community. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and student-centered leader, responsible for overseeing a multifaceted housing and residence life enterprise that supports a significant number of residential students. This role involves serving as a senior advisor on various aspects of student housing, including facilities, education, off-campus living, conduct, safety, and operations, and ensuring that these areas align with the institution's priorities. The Executive Director will also be tasked with cultivating partnerships both on and off-campus to enhance the residential experience and will play a key role in shaping residential strategies and facilities planning to support the academic and personal success of students. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 7 years' progressive leadership experience in student affairs, with a strong background in crisis management, emergency response, and student wellbeing initiatives. The role requires a leader who can demonstrate substantial experience in these areas and who possesses strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of constituents. The ideal candidate will be a champion of the transformative residential experience, with a proven track record of supporting student and university success. The Executive Director will be expected to manage a significant auxiliary budget and must be prepared to contribute to the growth and transformation of the institution as it invests in the student living and learning experience.
